Savantic has worked iteratively in close collaboration with Telia to explore solution techniques. Together they developed AI models to refine dwell estimation, improving detection of “other” locations like restaurants, parks, and venues. Key innovations included:
- AI-powered dwell detection – Enhanced location estimates without relying on population statistics.
- Smart grid methodology – Reducing cell size from 500m to 250m in high-density areas.
- Cloud-based processing – Using the new placement model BigQuery for scalable, real-time analysis.
